Designing with awarness

Yŭ Archi Studio is an architecture, landscape and interior design practice shaped by a holistic understanding of how people experience space. We approach each project through environmental context, and human needs, exploring beyond conventional design thinking to create spaces that foster harmony, connection and a sense of well being.

Our Story

we are a design studio based in Dubai -UAE, with an international practice. we created the studio as a place to design consciously, bringing design practice together with a way of understanding space that reaches far beyond what can simply be seen and measured.

The founder of Yŭ archi studio is an architect, artist and a specialist in landscape design. Her research and studies in borderscapes and cities urban fabric led to a deeper interest in Chinese culture and spatial sciences, and ultimately to more than seven years of studying Feng Shui with Master Howard Choy. This knowledge became integrated into her design practice as a tool for creating more conscious environments.Alongside working directly with clients, she collaborates with professionals across the design field, contributing this knowledge as an extension of their team while respecting professional boundaries, confidentiality and the integrity of their client relationships.

means universe, space and cosmos. The name reflects the studio's understanding of design as part of a larger interconnected environment, and its pursuit of spaces that create harmony between human experience and the world around us.

Yŭ Approach

for thousands of years, the art and sceince of settlement "Kan Yu" started out with site selection and how humans could thrive in the natural environments, guiding the settlement of villages and the rise of cities and empires.

In our studio we do not study the site only as a physical forms, but rather an act of movement and containment of the universal "breath". we design in a correlative thinking way, where multiple layers of a place are understood in relation to one another, revealing how a space can receive, contain and direct its potential, and ultimately create harmony and balance.
From topography and urban patterns to forms and lines, material selection, colour, proportion, circulation and enclosure, every decision becomes part of this interconnected process. These layers are considered in relation to time cycles, the movement of the sun and moon, and, most importantly, the rhythms and needs of the people who inhabit the space.
Architecture, landscape and interior design therefore become layers of one environment, responding to one another rather than being conceived separately. Through this approach, we seek to create spaces that support the people who inhabit them—spaces that are conscious, productive, prosperous and deeply connected to their surroundings.
